Phil Coupe

Co-Founder

phil@revisionenergy.com

As co-founder and aspirational visionary, Phil focuses on leadership, business strategy, communications and the national security implications of over-reliance on finite fossil fuels. Prior to the launch of ReVision Energy, he worked as a journalist in Washington, DC before helping start up a business that twice made the Inc. 500 List of Fastest-Growing Companies in America. To match growth with purpose, Phil immersed himself in the early movement toward corporate social responsibility and socially responsible business practices, leading the startup to win awards for its "Community Focus" program that invested in solutions to homelessness, at-risk youth and environmental degradation.

Other recognition included a Volunteer of the Year Award presented by former Sec. of State Colin Powell, the Community Hero Award from City Year Washington, Business Leader for the Environment Award from the Sierra Club and more recently the CEO Environmental Leadership Award from Alnoba that recognized ReVision's co-founders.

At ReVision Energy Phil engineered the cause-related marketing strategy and relationship-based sales approach that helped the company quickly grow from a garage startup to one of the most respected clean energy companies in New England. He also helped lead the company's initial expansion from midcoast Maine to the greater Portland region, then spearheaded the startup of ReVision's first out of state branch in Brentwood, NH in 2010.

Over the years he has been responsible for development and management of the company's nationally recognized digital platforms while building a vast network of peer to peer 'analog' relationships and partnerships with public and private schools, nonprofits, municipalities and businesses. He also helped launch the company's solar impact initiative that has helped schools, nonprofits and municipalities in northern New England acquire solar at zero up front cost. He lives in southern Maine with his family and a surfing Chihuahua named Kodak.

Phil Coupe's Energy System:

Phil's house has an awning mount solar hot water system that provides all his domestic hot water from May through September. He uses a hyper-efficient Fujitsu 18,000 btu/hour air source pump for primary heating and cooling, with a small woodstove for backup heat. He is one of the founding member/participants of Maine's inaugural Community Solar Farm , and now derives 100% of his household's electricity needs from the 51kw solar farm in South Paris, Maine.
