114 solar panels on the roof of White Heron Tea & Coffee make it a green destination for refreshment. Their 34.29 kilowatt solar array lowers their operating costs and carbon footprint while powering their roastery and cafe in Portsmouth, NH.
Since its inception in 2005, White Heron has expanded from an organic tea wholesaler to a full cafe with organic coffee roasted on site, with freshly made baked goods and more. Each year, their solar array will generate roughly 41,838 kilowatt-hours (kWhs) of electricity, offsetting the equivalent of driving over 76,315 miles in a gas-powered car.
Sourcing their energy from the sun supercharges their already organic and healthy fare with an extra jolt of sustainability.
