2 ground mounted solar arrays totaling 840 panels at the Village District of Eastman Water Treatment Center will help the District save money and also live up to their mission to keep a clean water supply viable for the area long-term.
Each year, the 260 kilowatt grid-tied solar array will generate roughly 330,630 kilowatt-hours (kWhs) of electricity, offsetting the equivalent of over 571,651 miles driven in a gas-powered car.
The Village District of Eastman financed this array through a Power Purchase Agreement , enabling them to install the arrays at no upfront cost.
