A massive solar array, consisting of nearly 10,000 solar panels, will supply clean solar energy to Shaw Brothers Construction in Buxton, Maine.
A 3.2 megawatt solar array will now be providing clean, local power to Shaw Brothers Construction in Gorham. The array is located in Buxton, Maine. Built on a reclaimed gravel pit, the array will provide enough electricity to power all of Shaw brother's energy needs, including electric crushing plants.
In addition, their offices are outfitted with LED lighting to further reduce energy usage and carbon footprint. Each year, the solar array will generate upwards of 4,000 megawatt-hours of electricity, offsetting the equivalent of over 7.4 million miles driven in a gas-powered car.
