Mainstay Technologies , with locations in Manchester and Belmont, has grown from a one man operation at its founding in 2004 to a solar-powered 50+ person team. The IT service company began in New England and considers it part of their mission to be a good steward of the surrounding environment and natural resources that they value.
Their 308-panel solar array on the roof of the Belmont office generates roughly 89,040 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, which is enough to offset the equivalent of driving over 162,000 miles in a gas powered car. Mainstay went solar in 2017 with this 86.2 kW array, and is continuously looking for new ways to reduce their carbon footprint. They converted their lighting to efficient LEDs, operate a nearly paperless offices, and of course practice recycling.
