214 solar panels installed on the roof of the apartments at Kensington Woods in Bedford, NH lower the community's energy costs, freeing up more resources to provide affordable workforce housing.
Their 67.2 kilowatt grid-tied solar electric system will generate roughly 70,499 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, offsetting the equivalent of over 128,500 miles driven in a gas powered car.
In addition to their solar array, Kensington Woods has taken other sustainable steps like upgrading to energy-efficient appliances in their apartments, to lower their impact and support the health of the planet.
