The Bank of NH Stage held its grand opening in June of 2019, with solar panels installed on the rooftop. The theatre, part of the Capitol Center for the Arts , will now be producing its own clean, local energy.
The array will generate roughly 47,507 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, offsetting the equivalent of over 82,100 miles driven in a gas-powered car.
As a nonprofit organization, the Capitol Center for the Arts financed the array through a Power Purchase Agreement . Their diverse programming ranges from Broadway shows, to ballet, to educational workshops and symposia.
