In 2024 we launched the ReVision Energy Co-Owner Community Impact Fund. Every year, each employee-owner at ReVision gets $250 to donate to a nonprofit or community organization of their choice. This initiative is part of an effort to amplify the engagement and impact of co-owners with the organizations they find meaningful and recognize as doing good work in our communities.
“As a Certified B Corp, small grassroots efforts are incredibly important to our mission and deserve our financial support,” says Katie Beane-Lewis, Director of People & Culture. “The idea behind this is to further support groups where our co-owners are already involved. For example, giving $250 for more food at an animal shelter where someone volunteers, or a matching gift to someone’s daughter’s Boys & Girls Club program. Maybe it’s a contribution to a local land trust where the co-owner does trail cleanups, things like that.”
Whether it's supporting local charities, environmental conservation efforts, education initiatives, or other causes, ReVision employee-owners have the autonomy to decide how to direct their donation so that it amplifies their impact in the areas they care most about.
By 2027, ReVision Energy has pledged to reinvest at least 1% of annual revenue in philanthropy, community partnerships, and expanding impact of our work. Our goal is to align our giving practices with our mission and to empower ReVision Energy to be innovative and bold in actions that result in change to the systemic issues that are obstacles to “building our more just and equitable electric future.”
This year, 105 ReVision employee-owners donated to a variety of organizations from Western Massachusetts to Boston to Vermont and northern Maine. They supported animal welfare, healthcare, education, conservation, arts, sports, and more. Although most donated locally, some employee-owners gave to broader programs such as disaster relief in Asheville, NC, and international organizations like Doctors Without Borders and Red Cross.
“Maine Needs is a true community partner. With an abundance of compassion, they help remove the access barrier for people who need basic necessities in their life. From toothpaste to sleeping bags, they come through for many Maine individuals and families when they are in a time of need, helping restore comfort and safety. It is incredibly important that Maine Needs gets support through donations of items, money and volunteer time to keep providing these essentials. To me, Maine Needs embodies humanity and kindness in its truest form.” -Gwen, HR

"Friends of Haystack Mountain was formed in early 2022 when 7 Liberty/Montville residents learned that our beloved Haystack Mountain was at risk for development. Now, almost 3 years later, we have successfully completed our campaign to raise over a half million dollars through grants and generous donations from individuals and businesses such as ReVision Energy. On January 6th, 2025 Friends of Haystack gifted the 47-acre parcel to Midcoast Conservancy for protection and access to the public for blueberry picking, hiking, snowmobiling and stargazing. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve my community and to learn about how a small group of people can have a big impact on land conservation." - Danielle, Operations
"GreenRoots fights fiercely for public health and environmental justice wins within the City of Chelsea, MA. They use a membership model and push back when they see injustices being committed. In addition, they create programming for Chelsea residents around food justice, transit justice, energy justice, youth development, and more. They also partner with institutions to install things like air quality monitors and leverage citizen science to gather data to support their initiatives. I love that GreenRoots centers their work around what their community needs and wants. They are tireless in fighting systemic environmental injustice, advocating for their members and City, and provide a model for what good, inclusive programming looks like." -Jen, Solar For All
