Will Field started in the renewable energy field as a solar installer before joining ReVision Energy as a system design specialist in 2017. Will enjoys the meaningful work of helping homeowners design and achieve their energy-transition goals, while working with a team of like-minded employee-owners in a challenging and often-shifting clean tech landscape.
In addition to helping hundreds of Maine homes transition towards clean energy independence- Will has given talks to national audiences on the Building Science & Beer Show, and contributed an article to Green Building Advisor.
Outside of his work, Will focuses his passion, time, and energy towards funk/r&b guitar, fine woodworking, reading nonfiction, trail-running, and slow, gradual, home improvement. He lives with his partner Alison and adopted lab-mix Chip in Belfast, ME. Will has a BA in US History from Bates College.
Will and his family have an 8.91 kW array and a 7 kW ownership share of Curravale Solar Farm. Three heat pumps (18,000, 9,000, and 12,000 BTUs/hour) provide all of the heating and cooling needs. Not bad for a home built in the 1890s!
