Vanessa graduated from Keene State College in 2022. While working on her degree in Computer Science, she happened upon Sustainability and knew that was the field she wanted to work in. Taking classes like Farming with Nature in Mind, Environmental Law, and Environmental Ethics opened a whole new world to explore and be a part of. Having conversations with classmates about environmental stewardship inspired Vanessa after graduating to jump into the field right away! Vanessa’s environmental journey involved going vegan in 2021 with the motivation to limit her carbon footprint, and respect our animal friends that we get to share a home with! She was ecstatic to have found ReVision and work in her home state of Maine. ReVision’s BCORP certification and 100% employee ownership sealed the deal for Vanessa to join the team! Vanessa is the HQ Receptionist for the South Portland office which means she gets to work with just about everyone! Vanessa loves reading, watching movies and spending time outdoors connecting with nature! Some of her favorite environmental books are: The Overstory by Richard Powers, The Pine Island Paradox by Kathleen Dean Moore and The Book of Hope: A Survival Guide for Trying Times by Jane Goodall and Doug Abrams.
