Grant Burgess

Solar Design Specialist

Even though he has only lived full-time in Maine since 2019, Grant was hooked on the Pine Tree State after his first visit as a newborn. He spent nearly 20 summers as a camper, counselor and administrator at a camp on Panther Pond in Raymond, where he learned and taught the importance of protecting the natural world.

He graduated from Williams College, where he spent countless hours running on the trails and dirt roads of the Berkshire Mountains. During his early career in the tech industry, Grant responded to the pull of the outdoors with backpacking trips around national parks both in the U.S. and while living for a year in New Zealand, where he was first introduced to the wonderful technology of heat pumps.

To lower his carbon impact, he bought a Nissan Leaf—affectionately called WALL-E after the Pixar character who helps to clean up the earth—even though the only place he could charge it at the time was at the middle school a mile down the road. After moving to Maine, the first call he made was to ReVision Energy to join a community solar farm and to replace his oil boiler with heat pumps.

Both Grant and his wife, Casey, hoped to find meaningful jobs that had a positive impact and were deeply rooted in their new local community here in southern Maine. After his great experience as a ReVision customer, Grant is incredibly grateful to have joined the team and is passionate about saving the world just like WALL-E, one roof at a time. He is glad that his son, Forrest, will grow up seeing clean energy all around him, and hopeful that he will one day live in a world powered entirely by renewables.
