Ethan (he/him) grew up in seacoast New Hampshire. He enjoyed working at his local indoor skatepark, giving lessons and managing camps. He’s always had a passion for riding skateboards, surfboards, and snowboards after school and on the weekends. His father has worked for the Environmental Protection Agency for more than 25 years and instilled love for the natural world in him and his older brother, Jeremy, who is also a Solar Installer and Electrician at ReVision.
Ethan graduated from the University of New England in Biddeford, ME with a B/S in Environmental Studies. During his time at UNE, Ethan enjoyed being a member of the soccer team, running experiments/playing around in wetlands, and could frequently be found sneaking in surf sessions at local beaches between classes.
Before joining ReVision's Portland team, Ethan worked for Integrated Ocean Observing Systems (IOOS). He became tired of reading scientific papers about the effects of climate change on our oceans and decided to dedicate his career to doing something about it; transitioning from facilitating ocean science to helping reduce our region's dependence on fossil fuels.
Ethan still lives in Biddeford with his partner, Kristen, who is a middle school science teacher at a local school district. He appreciates ReVision’s ‘healthy work life balance’, which allows him to take advantage of hurricane swell at the drop of a hat.
