Service Support Coordinator
Amanda (she/her) grew up on the outskirts of Washington DC in Northern Virginia. Although, she was mostly a city kid by default, she spent most weekends making day trips to the Blue Ridge mountains to hike, or to Virginia Beach to surf. She eventually made her way to Richmond Virginia where she majored in biology and worked first as an associate talent buyer for a music agency and then as a surgical assistant in dermatology where she also helped in the pathology department to diagnose biopsies.
Eventually, she became tired of the city life and having to choose between chasing mountains or ocean on the weekend, she decided to move to Maine where she could have the best of both worlds. Upon moving to Maine, she worked in holistic wellness as a birth doula, a massage therapist, and worked as a farm hand at a horse farm where she specialized in equine bodywork.
Making small talk at friend's wedding someone asked her what her passion was and stumped by the question, realizing it was nothing she had been doing, she immediately changed her career course with ReVision Energy as the outdoors has always been her favorite place. ReVision aligned with Amanda's values in many ways but being a B-Corp and working to reduce fossil fuels everyday was the driving force in her career change.
She works in the service department as a service support coordinator for both our Liberty and South Portland branches. When she isn't working you can find her on walks with her dog, rock climbing, and kayaking the upper Saco with a second canoe tied to the back for cleaning up behind the river floaters in the summer. Her favorite thing about working in the service department are the amazing people she gets to work with and picking the brains of our very talented technicians who are an endless source of solar knowledge.
